The Christmas miracle: How STOBER delivered when it mattered most

On December 21, 2024, on the Friday before Christmas, a national poultry processor faced an urgent challenge. Late that Friday afternoon, their team reached out to STOBER needing 10 KSS3 gearboxes to replace failing competitor motorized pulleys—and they needed them that weekend.

How STOBER responded

The request came in at around 4 p.m.  Time was critical.  The STOBER team immediately sprang into action, pulling inventory and coordinating logistics.  By the next day, the gearboxes were couriered to the processor’s facility for installation.  No delays.  No excuses.  Just results.

The poultry company’s engineer was blown away. He called it “The Christmas Miracle” and shared his utmost appreciation when STOBER Regional Manager Mark Sticklen visited for a follow-up.

The impact

STOBER’s quick actions and the exceptional customer service that Christmas weekend changed everything.  Since then, the processor’s tray pack plants have been specifying STOBER on all of their projects. 

At the local-to-STOBER plant alone, the last few months of 2025 have been incredible.  More than 100 KSS units have been ordered through OEMs with most of them being delivered within a week.  They’re needing units so quickly, the OEMs are hiring couriers to pick up the units from STOBER and deliver them to the poultry plant.  The OEMs say STOBER is the only company that could have met the tight delivery constraints.
