STOBER Lean Motors deliver precise speed and torque control, reduced energy consumption, and dependable performance in a compact design. They are an ideal solution for applications in the packaging, material handling, and machine tool industries.

More efficient than a traditional AC motor and less complex than a servo system, Lean Motors are available as standalone units or geared motors.

The LM Series Lean Motor bridges the gap between traditional AC motors and servo technology. It delivers improved speed and torque control in a compact, energy‑efficient package, so you only pay for the power you need. Built for durability, its sensorless design performs reliably in demanding environments, and doubling the ratio doubles the speed for added flexibility. Like every STOBER motor, it runs cooler, saves space, and provides dynamic performance that maximizes machine efficiency and uptime.

LM Series: FEATURES

  • Encoderless Operation: Utilization of High Frequency Injection (HFI) provides high-performance with STOBER drives
  • Energy Efficiency Class: IE5 (highest class) in acc. with IEC/TS 60034-30-2
  • Shaft: Solid shaft with feather key
  • Brake: Optional robust spring-loaded holding brake on the motor’s B side
  • Power Interface:
    • Rotating plug connectors with quick lock
    • Encoderless motor, the position is determined via the power connection
    • Correct position and speed determinations in combination with STOBER SB6, SC6, and SI6 drive controllers
    • Speed deviation is less than 1%, positioning accuracy is ± 1°
  • Cooling: Convection cooling
  • Winding Protection: PTC thermistors guarantee thermal winding protection
  • Paint: RAL 9005 Jet black
  • Marks and Test Symbols: CE and cURus
  • Recommended Drive Controllers: STOBER drive controllers of the SB6, SC6, or SI6 series
