“K” Series
The right angle helical/bevel MGS unit is now additionally available in a stainless steel housing as the “KSS” Series. The adaptability of the double-side, wobble-free, stainless steel bushing system (with expanded bore sizes) and the unique design of this unit make it ideal for the toughest washdown application.
These units are 30% smaller than the standard MGS unit of comparable size. They use the same high quality helical and spiral bevel gearing — assuring the same quality and quiet operation of the standard MGS line — and coupled with an efficiency of 97%, continue the MGS reputation for cost savings in energy and maintenance.
Each case size can be provided with a variety of bushing bore sizes which can be changed any time during the life of the unit, simply by changing the bushing kit. Nylon bolts are inserted into the bottom (Side 1) and end (Side 5) tapped holes for surface protection during installation.
Some features are:
- NEMA C-face Input adapter has an O-ring between the motor and reducer and an easy-mount, maintenance-free, flexible input coupling
- Bushing covers meet safety standards — outside closed cover cap - protects seals from high pressure washing. Inside split cover cap - enables easy assembly onto the shaft
- Patented stainless steel double side bushing mounted into stainless steel output quill – easily mounts onto standard stainless shafting. Readily change shaft size from a variety of available bushing sizes - inch and metric
- Double sealed on both sides of output — with a dual lip outer seal and a single lip inner seal
- Stainless steel oil fill plug and hardware with laser etched nameplate data
- Gears supported with dual bearings in one piece housing for structural rigidity
- Backlash, speed, and torque capacities are servo rated
- Application specific mounting position MUST BE SPECIFIED
