Solution Design
The design of a STOBER drive begins with the end in mind. Our inspired German engineering starts with a structurally rigid housing, precision machined and tested. Our precision gearing is manufactured from high tensile material, case hardened and ground to deliver years of unfailing performance in even the toughest environments. Our strict tolerances on bearing and seal surfaces ensures your STOBER drive won’t fail because of a blown gasket or leaky housing.
At STOBER, solution design extends to all aspects of production and manufacturing. A STOBER drive isn’t just the sum of our superior parts, though the list is impressive. STOBER uses seals from Simrit, a division of Freudenberg NOK, a worldwide leader in seal manufacturing. We use only Mobil gear lubricants in all our drives, and our high tensile tempered ductile iron housings are the most durable in the industry. You’ll also find SKF bearings in all our drives, resulting in a tighter fit and reduced clearance for longer manufacturing runs. The crowned cage provides optimal lubricant flow, which means reduced friction, improved ball guidance, and faster lubrication film formation. Finally, our drives receive high marks for lower running noise, which can be up to 16 times less than our competitors. Translated? It takes sixteen STOBER units to equal the noise level of one drive from a competitor. Consider that when you listen to your production line.
STOBER also benefits from 75 years of expert assembly experience, with extensive and on-going training for all assemblers. Every part in a STOBER drive is inspected and tested before assembly, and every drive that comes off our line is tested before it’s shipped. Finally, a STOBER solution design results in flexibility when considering various mounting configurations and output options. We have numerous ratios available, and application specific configurations for a variety of client needs.
