The STOBER offering of ServoFit gearheads will enable you to fit all your servo needs. The ServoFit Precision Planetary Gearheads (SPG) are for compact, highly dynamic applications.

Fits any Servo Motor
The ServoFit™ precision planetary gearhead adapter
system attaches to most NEMA and IEC servo motors. STOBER
has the most common motor adapters in stock and ready for
delivery. Non-stock motor adapters are made to the customer’s
specifications in ten days or less at no additional charge.
The STOBER motor adapter is a separate component, which allows
a different motor to be mounted in the field if a motor change
is needed.
- The TriAdapt™ motor adapter system makes installation
fast and easy - all without special tools and gauges.
It provides greater concentricity and accommodates shaft
misalignment
and runout.
- This patented shaft clamp system requires
no shaft key. Its aluminum clamp ring weighs approximately
1/3 the
weight of a steel clamp coupling. This reduction in
weight helps
minimize the drive's inertia.
- The TriAdapt™ triple split collet clamps firmly
to hold a motor shaft tight
- Aluminum motor plate and input cover for low total weight
Lowest Standard Backlash
All STOBER units have a backlash that has been individually
tested three times in 120 degree increments. Each unit is
tested without oil, to provide an accurate reading of the
gear quality. The backlash for each unit is marked on the
TriAdapt clamp.
Advanced Gear Technology
ServoFit™ precision planetary gearheads feature HeliCamber™ gear
technology which was introduced by STÖBER in 1989 with the
MGS line of speed reducers. This method of gear cutting involves
cambering the tooth profile and crowning the lead of the
tooth to give the highest possible number of teeth in contact.
All planet gears are hardened and ground to ISO Standard
4. This eliminates any irregularities that might generate
heat, noise and pulsations in the drive train which can lead
to speed fluctuation.
Cool Running
ServoFit™ precision planetary gearheads attain high
efficiency by using HeliCamber™ gear technology to minimize wear and helical
gears with a high contact ratio in all stages.
This gearhead keeps operating
temperatures to a minimum with:
- Highly efficient HeliCamber finish ground gears
- Black Paint
on a Ductile Iron housing to dissipate heat
- Smallest possible
input seal diameters to prevent internal heat build
up.
- Less
Surface Area = Less Drag.
- Synthetic Oil for lifetime lubrication
These features allow
STOBER planetary units to be used in continuous duty applications
without concern.
Low Noise
ServoFit™ precision
planetary gearheads are quieter than any planetary or in-line
helical gearhead available.
1 conventional planetary gearhead produces the same noise level as 16 STOBER planetary gearheads.
This is made possible by HeliCamber™ gear technology
and the specially designed ductile iron gearcase which
provides exceptional strength and maximum heat dissipation
with the added benefit of noise dampening.
"State-of-the-Art" Design
The totally enclosed, single piece gearcase is sealed per
IEC IP65 standards (protected against dust and jets of
water in all directions) to prevent lubrication leakage
and contamination for long life.
FKM seals are standard. Oversized bearings and
shafts support high radial loads and contribute to the
high torsional stiffness
Spider or planet gears are press fit onto the shaft without
keys to minimize misalignment. The ring gear is precision
machined integral to the housing, not pressed in, for maximum
accuracy
and strength. This
design eliminates concerns about misalignment or gear spinning
in the housing.
Each planet carrier is balanced, to provide
smooth vibration free running at high speeds. Each planet gear is straddle mounted by two bearings for low noise and minimal backlash. They are pressed on to shafts without keys to minimize misalignment.
3 Day Delivery
Standard delivery from stock is three days for the most popular ratios of ServoFit™ precision planetary gearheads.
